Traditional methods such as oil were discounted due to the unstable and rising cost of the fuel. Gas was discounted
because the supplier required £18,000 to extend the gas pipeline down to the end of the lane before running costs were even considered.

An air source heat pump was chosen as a much more practical to install over other ‘renewable’ options such as a ground source heat pump and also came with a wealth of other benefits such as low running costs and compatibility with underfloor heating downstairs.
After obtaining three quotes from various suppliers, EOC Services were chosen because they provided the best price and were very local. Having the company on hand for maintenance and aftercare was an important consideration for the Nurses.

We were impressed from the outset with EOC. Their salesmen gave extremely good advice without ever being pushy. Throughout the installation their engineers were helpful and courteous. We opted for the five year maintenance contract with the five year guarantee which makes the annual servicing very cost efficient.
Although the air source heat pump was probably dearer to install initially then say oil, it soon pays for itself and, the ongoing running cost is significantly less so all in all, the system offers very good value for money.
