Thorogoods, Ardleigh, Colchester
Thorogoods is based in Ardleigh near Colchester and employs 30 people. They import and machine timber and have offices and milling facilities.
Thorogoods installed air conditioning over ten years ago to provide a comfortable environment in the offices and staff areas. The system is used to heat the premises in the winter and keep them cool in the summer.
Purchasing the heat pump system was the most cost effective way of achieving this, as installing a separate heating plant and then air cooling, would have been messy and expensive.
